Four internships through Twenty19. Read on to learn Varun Abraham's amazing journey.
Twenty19 was incepted with the vision of bringing the best of opportunities to our student community. Our joy knows no bound when we see our students grab these opportunities and come out with flying colors. We had a conversation with Varun Abraham on a late Sunday evening. We thank Varun who was kind enough to spend some time to answer all my queries despite me bombarding him with questions.
Varun C Abraham is a final year B.Com student studying in Saintgit College of Applied Sciences. He is an avid member of his neighbourhood community, church choir, and college sports team as well. He has successfully completed four internships through Twenty19 and he still wishes to come back for more.
Twenty19.com is an amazing place to get yourself known and understand your true potential. It is totally worth it, Trust me.
Hello Varun, many thanks for sparing time for us! First of all, how has this amazing journey of internships with twenty19 been?
Thankyou. My love for sales and marketing started from a very young age. I grew up watching my father’s flower shop business here in Bangalore. Just when I wanted to kill my time doing something useful and also equip myself with entrepreneur skills, I found Twenty19 and I went on to do four internships in the sales and marketing field.
Apart from doing internships, how do you keep yourself engaged?
One can see me always hooked up in drawing something, designing and editing videos. I am also the art director of my college website. Apart from this, I am passionate about meeting new people and interacting with them. I love socialising and I make it a point to never miss participating in community unions and sports meet.
Can you give us an insight about the goals you have set for yourself?
As of now, I wish to complete my college with excellent grades and wish to do my post graduation abroad. As a long term goal, I would want to become a Chartered Accountant.
We see that you have completed a few internships with us. What made you choose us over the other portals?
I saw an advertisement about twenty19.com in The hindu educational newspaper. I found it to be a great opportunity to showcase my potential. I just tried my hands at one sales internship and from there the graph has been up and I owe it all to Twenty19
Doing four internships during your college time is quite impressive and inspirational too. Can you explain about the whole experience?
I did my internships with four different companies names Corpversity, womenite, smilemiddle and The social rush. The first internship was really challenging.
The first internship was ‘work from home’ for a company called corpversity. My job in the internship was sales and marketing .
The company conducted tested students online based on their knowledge on internet, microsoft office etc. As a part of the work, I was asked to work to increase the sales. Overall, the experience was very wonderful and I really enjoyed it.
If you could state 3 qualities that you have taken out from the internship, what will it be?
Time, Dedication, Hard work and not to mention that it really made me understand my interest in the field of graphic designing and digital marketing.
What were the challenges that you had to face during the internship and how did you overcome that?
At first, it was really challenging for me as I was completely new to work pressure to complete on time and with precision. But over the course of time, I became aware of my responsibilities and I was able to deliver my work to the best of my abilities and according to the company’s expectations.
