About this Training
In this course you will learn about Robots and microcontrollers first and then move on to building robots of your own with the kit provided along with this course. You will learn different concepts in Robotics and the programming related to it.
You should have a basic idea about 'C programming language' to learn this course.
Robotics Kit is INCLUDED. As soon as you purchase the course, you will get a call from Twenty19 Team for your correct address details. The KIT will be dispatched to you right away. For any queries on kit please call us on 09962033243.
Clear your Doubts
Project in this Training
I suggest you to buy a ready made sensor from the market or if you want you can even make one. Just google search line follower sensors and obstacle sensors you will get all the designs.
Whereas, checking if it functioning or not is concerned, in the ready made ones there are LEDs for example, if you keep the sensor on a black object the LED may turn off and if you keep it on white it may turn off or vice versa. You can also check your IR LEDs by using your phones camera just keep your camera on the top of your sensor (when it is powered up) it will project some light onto your camera. This light is visible only with camera not with your naked eye.

yes ddrC basically stands for DataDirectionRegister for portC so it is used to tell the microcontroller whether the that particular port will read the data or write the data. DDRC=0xff (in hexadecimal so in binary it is 1111 1111) makes all the pins of portc as output and you can try with some different values as well.
Well to begin with both have the same architecture, and differences are many between them in terms of memory, peripherals and much more. For example atmega 8 has 8KB of flash memory and atmega16 has 16KB of flash memory. Then there more IO ports available for atmega16 as compared to atmega8 and so on. For more in depth details you can go through their respective datasheets and get an over view.

Just connect the IR to VCC and GND from the board use your cell phone's camera. Turn on the camera keep it over the IR you will be able to see some violet light from one of the IR LEDs that will be the transmitter and the transmitter you can use the code as in if it it on black line the your led turns off and on white then your led turns on
i tried this but there is no violet light.
i think the ir sensor is not working
i tried the connection same as shown in the video
what should i do now

To the Course Expert
Can you please elaborate your answer ? I did not get which folder is exactly to be copied ?
answered by MaunikDesai, [ Jan, 2015 ]
I copied the main.c file, makefile, makefile.bak and mkdir.exe.stackdump file (which were present in my folder) into another folder and repeated the process ie. make clean followed by make all ; it still gives me the same error !

Waiting for the answer for over a month now !

Sorry for the delay was caught with some work. I told you that you have to copy ONLY the .c and .h files and your original makefile only no other files. no makefile.bak, no mkdir.exe.stackdump file .. just your main.c your header files if you are using any and your makefile that is it.
