The Intern will serve as a pivotal member of our team by identifying a pipeline of entrepreneurs for future programs, screening candidates to determine their financial, organizational, and social fit, and conducting industry research to inform Village Capital’s strategy.

The Intern will be primarily responsible for recruiting entrepreneurs to new Village Capital programs and engaging with “pipeline partners” to identify capable entrepreneurs. Critical to the Company’s future success, the Intern will be entrepreneurial, self-confident, well-spoken, and highly skilled in operational execution. Village Capital is a growing enterprise and high-performing interns will be considered for long-term salaried positions

The Intern will have the following responsibilities:
• Develop relationships with business incubators, investment firms, and other partners to identify seed-stage companies across the country and access their databases for potential Village Capital participants
• Engage with entrepreneurs and conduct initial screening in terms of financial and social/environmental impact metrics
• Conduct regional and/or industry sector research and present this information to management

What you will learn in this internship

This role will give the Intern exposure the investing world, the start-up world, and the social enterprise world. By interning with Village Capital, the Intern will develop relevant sales, research, and investment analysis sills.
