Sociopreneur is the annual b-plan competition hosted by the Entrepreneurship Cell of Govt. Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara, aimed at promoting ideas for sustainable social ventures. With the tagline, “Think different for a change”, Sociopreneur invites the youth to come up with innovative business notions for social ventures targeting at one or more of the several short comings of the present day society. Inspired from the common man and his right to basic education and healthcare, Sociopreneur questions the nation, its system,democracy and government.It seeks the youth to raise their voice to guarantee equal opportunity to every single individual,to formulate an endeavour which would modulate many lives. The event requires you to create a Business Plan, which when executed can and will create a social change/impact for the good. Participants from across the nation shall present the blueprint for the India they envisage. The winning team takes up Rs.40,000-a cash prize as an incentive to bring their ideas to fruition and help be the change. This year Socioprenuer moves on to add a challenge for its ebullient audience. The audience will have to come up with a project plan for problem statements given by our distinguished judges in 30 minutes. The team which comes up with the best solution will walk away with exciting prizes. Sociopreneur challenges the youth of the nation to rise up for a nation of their dreams. At the Presidency Hotel, Cochin, on the 6th of March 2012, a platform would be set for those persuasive enough to live their dream – A Social entrepreunership competition unlike any other you would have seen before. So buckle up for a battle of the title SOCIOPRENEUR 2012 !! |
