" Minds are like parachutes; they only function when they are open. We at IIT(BHU)-Varanasi, believe that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic; keeping this in our minds we organize every year, a 3-day fest as a techno-management event, METTLE-2012. This will provide the scientists and technicians of tomorrow the tool to break their mental cages and picture the freedom. Here, we stage the innovators as the mentors of the modern society looking forth to live a smart future. Last year, for the very first time we organised this event and are pleased about the great success of the event. We had D.G of D.G.M.S as our chief guest along with other respectable and famous personalities of the field. The students participated from all over the nation, won cash prizes, gained experience and made the event very successful. This time we are planning to take the event to a higher level with prominent guest lectures, prestigious guests and newer competitions. This all India festival of the Mining Society will have showcase technical events (like Geomac, Mayra, X’ponere etc.), Certified workshops, Tutorials, Guest Lectures and will also be hosting other competitive events like Gazette - paper presentation, Catechize - the quiz, Industrial problem. Mettle, the techno-management fest of the oldest Mining Institute in India, is having remarkable participation from colleges, spanning all across the nation and is branded as one of the largest events of its kind in India." |
