OPTIMA is the annual technical symposium of Industrial Engineering and Management Department, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Optima has been leading the light of instilling a culture of science, technology and innovation among the youth. Optima offers plethora of events, workshops and guest lectures. OPTIMA'12 promises to give you the most competitive atmosphere to compete among the wittiest. It gives you a platform for them to showcase their technical and engineering skills and nourishes their scientific talent.  

Business plan, case-study, online events, designing, a series of workshops and lectures by eminent personalities are synonymous to OPTIMA. Ideas and technical views are exchanged between professors and corporate giants having a gamut of experience and other personal who are the knowledge centers of the country. OPTIMA'12 will be held in the month of March. It will be a three day event, starting on Friday, March 23, 2012 and will end on Sunday, March 25,2012. There will be several exciting events. So be a part of Kharagpur s biggest technical symposium.

  • KIMPLEX - This event is an individual online contest on Operations Research techniques with daily prizes which will be held from 12th - 18th March 2012. There will be ten questions on Operations Research daily uploaded on the website. Participants should submit their answers between 7:00 - 12:00 p.m.on the same day.
