The ScrapLab Design Contest is offered and hosted by HYVE AG and HYVE Innovation Community GmbH (“HYVE”), Schellingstr.45, 80799 Munich, Germany. HYVE is an innovation agency, specialized in the integration of customers into the product development process and the development of co-creation and community platforms. The main goal of the contest is generating creative and sustainable designs made of scrap. The objective is to recycle waste materials in the form of new products such as furniture, accessories or artwork (all in all 9 different categories) and to bring them back into the economic circle. It addresses everyone all around the world who is interested in how waste materials can be recycled. Besides, participants can also actively take part by voting for the best designs of other members or commenting on submissions and leaving messages. |
| Competition Details |

Eligibility: The contest targets every person who wants to participate in this campaign. The minimum age for the participation is 18 years at the time of submission. Prospective entrants must first register and accept the Terms and Conditions before submitting any of their designs. Employees of HYVE are not eligible to receive one of the prizes announced under article 5. In order to be able to participate in the contest, participants must register on the contest platform at www.scraplab-contest.com. On this registration page, participants must indicate and confirm at least a username, a password, their first and last name and a valid e-mail address, that they have read the conditions of participation and agreed with them. Design Requirements: To participate in the contest the following steps should be taken into account: Designs may be photos or other visualizations of existing prototypes. Furthermore designs can be either created by computer-generated programs or drawn freehand. The images must be converted to JPG, GIF or PNG format for uploading to the website with a minimum resolution of 500 by 500 px. The file size must not exceed 5 MB. Additional material can be uploaded in form of images (JPG, GIF, PNG, IGS, STP, 3DS, VRML) or documents (DOCX, PDF, XLSX, PPTX, TXT, CSV). Additional files may not exceed 5 MB. It is possible for participants to submit any number of independent designs. Scrap designs may take any format to any category but must incorporate waste materials. Each submitted design must include a title, a picture, a short description and a chosen category. Selection of Winners: All submitted designs have the opportunity to win cash prizes amounting to a total of 2,000 EUROS:
